ACHS Students Participating in CSUCI Summer Lab Research Experience Opportunity
Students will take a hands on approach to learning the latest molecular biological and biochemical concepts and methods. Students will create mutant DNA, learn to purify mutant protein from bacteria, and see the effects of their mutations. College-level mentors will work with the visiting students on learning the background, with getting comfortable with the techniques, and on building their own confidence and independence in the laboratory. Students will meet twice a week for 5 weeks, and will present their work to families at the end of the workshop in late July. There is room for 7 students.
