DCH Lexus awards scholarships to students

Oxnard Union High School District would like to thank DCH LEXUS for their generous scholarships to our local students. For the last 13 years, DCH has presented scholarships to our students. OUHSD principals and district personnel joined parents and friends to celebrate the achievements of four, OUHSD Class of 2012 seniors.On Thursday, May 31, 2012, DCH LEXUS of Oxnard presented four $500 dollar scholarships at a small reception and presentation held in their honor at the dealership located at 1640 Auto Center Drive, Oxnard, CA.

DCH LEXUS of Oxnard sponsors local Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Ventura County Chapters. This scholarship not only looks to the student’s achievements and letters of recommendation, but also their personal vision by requiring students to make a PSA (public service announcement) encouraging their peers to make good decisions behind the wheel. The student essay theme was to write an essay on strategies to help spread the word to other students on how to prevent students form choosing destructive behaviors.
