Plans are in the works to build the school with Measure “H” bond money.
Land next to the Camarillo Library has been purchased but still need to be annexed.
Some people have raised concerns about losing agricultural land, but supporters say many Camarillo kids won’t have to go all the way to Rio Mesa High in El Rio anymore.
The school is slated to open in August 2015 with freshman and sophomores the first year.
Students who live in three nearby area codes will get first choice to attend.
The bond money will also pay for a new pool at the Adolfo Camarillo high and solar panels and Wi-Fi at all the campuses in the district.
The town hall meeting will be held Tuesday May 22nd from 7-10p.m. at the Ventura County Office of Education in Camarillo.
