Valadez was recognized by her traveling team and got asked to try out for the national team of Mexico. Valadez was very excited but nervous to tryout for the team.
“My club team’s coach asked me to try out for the team, I was speechless, at first I didn’t believe it was true but when I finally showed up to the practice and it all became real. It was a dream come true,” described Valadez.
Valadez had made team Mexico due to all her hard work.
“I was happy, shocked, and proud of my self because this has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl,” said Valadez
Valadez found out she was going to be playing for Mexico during winter break, short after that she had her first game against Canada. Although Canada won, Valadez still has memories that she will never forget, she started the game and played all ninety minutes.
“Playing my first international game against Canada is something I will never forget. I was excited but nervous at the same time. It was such an honor to play for the country that your family is from.”
“I will continue to always play as hard as I can until I am not able to play any more. This team has given me the honor of playing for them so in return I will play to my fullest extent every chance I can get.”
