Whether it’s his diminutive frame, his aerodynamic nickname or the massive amount of Moco De Gorila hair gel that shapes his spiky locks, there are plenty of reasons to believe Andres “Speedy” Mendoza.
“I don’t score with my head a lot,” said Mendoza.
But, as he considered the ways he could attack Hector Garay’s cross Thursday afternoon, the Pacifica High senior was willing to make an exception.
Mendoza headed in Garay’s cross in the 60th minute as the Pacifica High boys soccer team earned a valuable 1-1 draw with visiting Channel Islands.
