The Rio Mesa High boys water polo team will be seeking to return to the championship game in this weekend’s 11th Annual Oxnard Tournament.
The Spartans lost in last year’s championship game after winning the tournament title in 2009.
Joe Yamamoto, Kyle Walthall and Zack Davis are the standouts this season for the Spartans, coached by Derrick Timmons.
The tournament starts Friday with games at the Oxnard and Rio Mesa pools.
