Energy Conservation Enhancement Project
In a world dependent on non-renewable resources, energy conservation has an increasingly important role to play in education. The 134 complete lessons on this site were originally designed to enhance vocational education curriculum, but are for all high school and college students who are interested in energy conservation. The lessons use real-life problems illustrated with colorful graphics to teach important skills and knowledge. Fourteen modules introduce energy concepts and their applications in automotive technology, carpentry, drafting & design, construction, transportation, and more. Mathematics and English are also addressed.

Automotive Learning On-line
This Java powered site (you must have a Java enabled browser) allows you to click on various components of an automobile to learn more information. Fine graphics and animations make this a good resource for auto shop classes or independent studies.

Street Cents
This student-as-consumer site is linked to the television program of the same name.

Accounting Students
This Web site from AccountingNet, the "complete online resource for accounting professionals," is a must for any student who is thinking about a career in accounting or a related field. Hightlights include the Toolbox of study tools and career tips, Scholarship information, a Jobs page, and a Forum for networking with peers and professionals. Although this is a commercial site, its designers seem more interested in providing information than selling a product.

Social Security On-line  Everything you could want to know about the Social Security system, plus an on-line kit that helps explain the system to high school students.

School-to-Work Internet Gateway: Visitors to this site learn about school-to-work grants, state initiatives, and technical contacts.   There is information here for students, teachers and parents.
