The Condor High School at Oxnard College is delivered through Oxnard Independent Study School. The independent study venue offers the flexibility necessary to take one or more college courses concurrently with high school courses that are taught by a fully credentialed, highly qualified teacher. Because each teacher is assigned an average of only 25-30 students, instruction is highly individualized with high levels of accountability.
The flexibility of an independent study schedule allows students in the program to also participate in other pursuits such as athletics, employment, internships, or community service.
Counseling services are provided to every student, and each student has the benefit of an individualized academic plan, which includes high school and college pathways tailored to meet his or her educational goals. Each student also has access to academic advising and career exploration through the Oxnard College.
